Dan Huff
Dan Huff was appointed the Fire District's new Commissioner effective January 1, 2023. He joined the fire district in 1977 as a volunteer firefighter and worked his way up through the ranks and retired on December 31, 2022 as an Assistant Chief. He has been heavily involved in managing the fire district apparatus and facilities in addition to his emergency response duties. In October 2022 Commissioner Tom Martin announced his retirement effective October 31, 2022. Through an application process the remaining fire commissioners selected Commissioner Huff to fill the vacant position and serve out the remainder of Commissioner Martin's unexpired term. Commissioner Huff follows in the footsteps of his father-in-law, former Commissioner Bill Doran.
In November 2023 Commissioner Huff was elected by the citizens to serve a full 6-year term as Fire Commissioner for Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue.
